SLC ROARING ROBOTICS PROGRAM

Our teams have competed locally, statewide as well as Nationally! Our goal is to empower the next generation of dreamers, innovators and inventors in order to change our world for the better. Our Robotics Curriculum at SLC focuses on coding, engineering design process and creativity.

We’ve teamed up with First Inspires to challenge our students to dream big, build big and compete globally. Doing so has opened up tremendous opportunities for our students. Over $50,000,000,000.00 in potential scholarships are available to students taking part in our program.

SLC Robotics Program Curriculum

Grade K-4

In addition to enforcing math, literacy, science, and art skills we introduce students to:

  • Engineering Design Process
  • Robotics
  • Programming
  • Sensors
Grade 5-8

At the junior high school level, our students will be challenged to master:

  • Basic motor controls
  • Solving Worldly Problems Using Robotics
  • Basic Programming
  • Mechanical systems
Grades 9-12

Our High School students will learn to construct, control and program robots through investigative and exploration activities. The curriculum will include:

  • Motors and rotation, and sensors (sound, light, touch and ultrasonic)
  • Programming
  • Robot navigation and path planning
  • Systems and systems analysis
  • Experimental process
  • Communicating results through formal project documentation

After-School Clubs : Open to all Saint Lucie County and Treasure Coast

  • $45 After-school One-time registration fee

SLC Mini-bots

Grades 1st - 4th.
Our Mini-bots program is designed to help our budding engineers get their feet wet! They’ll compete in the First Lego League Jr. Competition and have a chance to compete on a large scale.

AIM High Club

Grades 5th - 8th. Our middle schoolers will compete in the First LEGO League competition. Our team will design their own solution to a real-world problem and build autonomous LEGO MINDSTORM (R) robots that perform a series of missions based on an annual theme. Really cool stuff!

SLC Roaring Robotics

Grades 9th - 12th. Teams of students build and program a robot to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors, and are challenged to design a team “brand,” and wine teamwork skills.

Community Volunteers Wanted!

Team leaders and mentors needed! Team meetings times dates TBA. Volunteer hours will be granted.

Challenge Team Mentors are needed.  Engineers, programmers, mechanics and team managers are needed for Roarin’ Robotics Challenge Team.
